Vacation Cottage North Myrtle Beach #64

We loved the cottage we rented for our stay in early August 2025. We were in a bind cause our dog sitter situation changed last minute, so we were on the hunt when we stumbled onto Barefoot RV Resort website and found that we would be able to bring up-to 2 under 50 lbs dogs for a fee to stay with us in the cottage. Loved the size and layout of one of the cottages. We enjoyed the lazy river and dog park amenities during out stay. We are thankful for the flexibility of knowing our fur babies were welcome with us on our trip.

Staff was very friendly and so were the vacationers. Family environment and good location to view the fireworks from Barefoot Landing. Cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The only draw backs were the size of the loft & stairs and pull out sofa. The stairs are very narrow making it difficult for adults. The loft ceiling is very low - adults could not stand up and had to get dressed sitting on the mattress. Would be ideal for kids. We could not use the pull out bed in the sofa due to the box springs. It was extremely uncomfortable - no padding at all. Reduced our sleep capacity from 6 to 5 guest. Otherwise a very peaceful stay and conveniently located to other beach attractions.

Mostly quiet during Christmas week. Cottages are just yards away from the small airport perimeter. When considering what type of linens to bring, very deep pocket queen is the way to go. Any size smaller won't fit the mattress. The "fluffy" pillows are kinda silly, consider bringing your own. Check in instructions were messed up by the automated "system". I received 5 emails for other cabins, none of which were the one I reserved. Had to call to get door code. Very clean and well maintained. Short walk to grocery, pharmacy, a few eateries and easy access to Barefoot Landing without having to drive down Highway 17 through traffic.
